Black Gospel, emotions, contagious laughter, joy of life, unparalleled authenticity.
New songs and refined vocal arrgangements are the Jackson Singers’ way of thanking their great Europe audience — again an unforgettable experience.

Music with a message from Black America and about Black heritage. The most famous Spirituals and Gospels, like AMEN, OH HAPPY DAY and others, performed in the own funky style of the Jackson Singers, plus an extensive repertoire with music ranging from Mahalia Jackson’s HE’S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS, from Billie Holiday’s GOD BLESS THE CHILD to Aretha Franklin’s AMAZING GRACE, from Simon & Garfunkel’s BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS to Bob Dylan’s BLOWING IN THE WIND.

Founded in the early 1980s by Bob Jackson together with the best performers from the “Martin Luther King Singers” choir, the JACKSON SINGERS have spread their gospel in many concerts across Europe. In 2002 Mr. Jackson passed away and the long-time musical director Fitzroy Burroughs became leader of the group. He led the group successfully for many years up to his retirement.

In 2013 MR. RANDALL G. TAYLOR took over the management and musical direction of the JACKSON SINGERS as a singer, pianist, composer and arranger. Randall has a dedication for traditional gospel; the musical legacy of founder Robert De Witt Jackson is being continued.

THE JACKSON SINGERS have appeared on programs with Oscar Peterson, Lionel Hampton, Odetta, Paul Anka, Olivia Molina, Jose Carreras and a host of international stars. The total group or parts of it have recorded as backing voices for Far Corporation (Stairway to Heaven), Meatloaf, Smokie, Milli Vanilli, Münchner Freiheit, Supermax, and many others.

Wherever they go, they bring a music that reaches out, touches, and moves everybody who listens to it. No matter where you have already experienced or will hear or see THE JACKSON SINGERS — at churches, cathedrals, jazz festivals, weddings, galas, TV-shows, in Alain Courneau’s awardwinning film “Le Nouveau Monde”, or on Thomas Gottschalk’s TV-show, they create a mood of emotions and enthusiasm with their music.

THE JACKSON SINGERS use an international language — music, based on an international source — the Bible. A Key-note to the popularity of the group is the manner and style which the singers and musicians interpret the music. They create a mood of enthusiastic rejoicing in deep reverence. They express universal love in the simple language of music. For THE JACKSON SINGERS, music is not only an essential and cherished part of life, it is a way of life to challenge the realities of life and suffering.
